In this week's case discussion, submitted by Dr Magdy Malek, we look at an 85-year-old male patient who presented with concerns about a longstanding ulcerated lesion on his right lower leg.
What do you think of the clinical image? What would you do next?
A punch biopsy showed ulcerated nodulo infiltrative BCC. Complete excision was performed with a modified keystone flap (image below).
Final histopathology revealed complete excision of the nodular BCC with an area of superficial BCC at one edge treated with topical Aldara cream.
