This week we revisit a case from Dr Terry Harvey featuring a patient who presented for a follow-up skin check after having a previous melanoma.
She had total body photography repeated with each of her skin checks, and the artificial intelligence identified this lesion on her back (circled in red) as "new" from her past imaging.
The dermoscopic image is also provided.

This lesion was excised for pathology, which returned as nodular basal cell carcinoma with clear margins.
