How would you manage this lesion on the nose?

Written by HealthCert Education | Jan 29, 2025 3:01:00 AM

This week, we look at a case submitted by Dr Asia Hafeez in which a 78-year-old female presents to the dermatology outpatient clinic with complaints of a pruritic ulcerative plaque on her nose for the last seven months.

The lesion started as a small, itchy papule that later increased in size with surface ulceration and crusting.

Please refer to the clinical and dermoscopy images below. What would you do next?

Update

This is ulcerative basal cell carcinoma.
