How would you manage this lesion on a patient with melanoma history?

Written by HealthCert Education | Feb 20, 2024 4:30:00 AM

In this week's case discussion, submitted by Dr Terry Harvey, we look at a 55-year-old female patient with a history of melanoma who presented with this lesion on her back.

What do you think of this lesion? How would you proceed here?

Update #1 (Tuesday)

Here is an image from FotoFinder Total Body Photography, where the artificial intelligence identified changes to the lesion on the patient's upper right back (marked in yellow) over 12 months.

Does this change your opinion of the dermoscopy or your plan going forward?

Update #2 (Wednesday)

The lesion was excised and returned as a melanoma in situ.
